Massachusetts Foreclosure Laws Amended
The Governor has recently signed into law amendments to the laws allowing foreclosure in Massachusetts.
The law now requires lenders to offer loan modification/loss mitigation options to home owners.
The law does not include mandatory mediation prior to foreclosure. Mediation was part of the original bill proposed.
