Southern Sky Air & Tours, LLC d/b/a Direct Air filed for bankruptcy today
Today, March 16, 2012 Direct Air, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Massachusetts, Central Division.
The case has been assigned to Judge Melvin Hoffman case No. 12-40944 msh.
At this point in time there is little known about the bankruptcy filing as only limited information was filed with the court. This is often called a skeleton filing.
The bankruptcy court has ordered Direct Air to file certain documents with the court some due as soon as Monday 3/19/12; while the full filing will be due 3/30/12. Often times these deadlines are extended.
One thing is clear, that Direct Air has not asked the Court's permission to use cash collateral, as of yet. Without permission to use cash Direct Air will not be able to make any payments.
